Summer Nights - July 26th with Special Guest Jade Miles
A night of delicious food and inspiring conversations around community and connection.
Saturday 26 July 2025
6.30pm
Sharing Plates, Long Table Dinner, Bar
Our second Summer Nights event for this season is one with a twist and an extra special twist at that! We are welcoming Australian regenerative farmer and author, Jade Miles. Jade and her family run Black Barn Farm, a heritage apple and berry orchard in Victoria, Australia which offers school programmes and workshops in what she terms ‘Futuresteading’ - Living like tomorrow matters. Jade has recently released a new book, Huddle, where she examines the importance of community and connection - something that is close to our heart at Little Trochry.
Join us for dinner and a discussion with Jade - think sharing plates, big salads, dips, chunks of homemade sourdough and seasonal meat and veg cooked over fire.
After the main part of the meal we will have a conversation with Jade where we will dive into her experience building community around food and farming, hear about her new book Huddle, and why the principles of community and connection are more important now than ever.
After this we will have pudding and a Q & A discussion where we can unpack some of Jades knowledge and consider its relevance to our community here in Perthshire and beyond.
The bar will be open until 11pm so you can hang out and enjoy a drink by the fire.
We first heard of Jade on the Happy Pear podcast and we’d highly recommend you give it a listen. Jade is a wonderful communicator and the message she shares aligns with what we care about most at Little Trochry. She is also the host of her own podcast Futuresteading and her first book by the same name has been a great inspiration to us.
This is going to be a night not to miss and we can’t wait to welcome you here for inspiring conversations and tasty food!
Jades new book Huddle will be available to buy on the night.
We will be operating a small bar serving local beer, cider and wine.
A night of delicious food and inspiring conversations around community and connection.
